Welcome to La Paz Palacio Homes & Apartments. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your booking and stay at our properties. By making a reservation or checking into any La Paz Palacio apartment, you ("the Guest," "you," "your") agree to be bound by these Terms and, where applicable, any specific property rules or agreements provided at the time of booking or check-in.
These Terms are designed to ensure a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for all our guests and to protect the property and its resources.
Effective Date: 2nd August, 2025.
1. Booking & Payment
- Reservation Confirmation: All reservations are considered confirmed only upon receipt of full payment for the entire duration of the stay.
- Guest Verification: The primary Guest, in whose name the reservation is made, must be at least 18 years old and present a valid government-issued photo identification (e.g., National ID, Driver's License, International Passport) at check-in for verification purposes.
- Security/Caution Deposit: A refundable security/caution deposit, as specified during the booking process, is required before check-in. This deposit covers potential damages, excessive cleaning, or violations of these Terms. The deposit will be refunded within [e.g., 2-5] business days after check-out, provided the apartment is left in satisfactory condition, with no damages, excessive mess, or breach of these Terms. Any costs for damages or breaches will be deducted from this deposit.
- Payment Methods: We accept payments via our online secured online payment portal, however, currently, WE ONLY ACCEPT CASH ON CHECK-IN. All payments must be made in Nigerian Naira (NGN) unless otherwise specified.
- Minimum Stay: A minimum stay of [e.g., 1] night(s) is typically required, subject to specific seasonal or promotional variations.
2. Check-In & Check-Out Procedures
- Standard Check-in Time: 08:00 AM (08:00 WAT) on the day of arrival.
- Standard Check-out Time: 02:00 PM (02:00 WAT) on the day of departure.
- Early Check-in / Late Check-out: Requests for early check-in or late check-out are subject to apartment availability and must be pre-arranged with management. Additional charges may apply. Unauthorized late check-out may result in additional fees equivalent to a half-day or full-day charge, as determined by management.
- Key Collection/Return: Instructions for key collection and return will be provided prior to check-in. Guests are responsible for the keys/access codes throughout their stay. Lost or unreturned keys/access fobs will incur a replacement fee.
3. Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Cancellation Window:
- 72 Hours or More Before Check-in: Cancellations made at least 72 hours prior to the standard check-in time (3:00 PM WAT) will receive a full refund of the booking amount.
- Within 72 Hours of Check-in: Cancellations made within 72 hours of the standard check-in time will incur a 50% charge of the total booking amount.
- Day of Arrival / No-Show: No-shows or cancellations made on the day of arrival (after 12:00 AM WAT on the check-in date) will result in a full charge for the entire reservation, and no refund will be issued.
- Refund Processing: Approved refunds will be processed within [e.g., 5-7] business days.
- Force Majeure: La Paz Palacio is not liable for cancellations or non-performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, government regulations, or widespread utility failures.
4. House Rules
To ensure a comfortable and harmonious environment for all guests and neighbours, the following rules must be strictly adhered to:
- Noise & Disturbances: No parties, events, or loud music are allowed at any time. Guests must maintain reasonable noise levels, especially during quiet hours from [e.g., 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM]. Respect for neighbours is paramount.
- Smoking Policy: No smoking (including tobacco, e-cigarettes, or vaping) is permitted inside the apartment. A substantial cleaning fee will be charged for any violation. Designated smoking areas, if available, will be communicated upon arrival.
- Pets Policy: Usually, no pets are allowed, however, in some cases, exceptions can be made. on the premises unless prior written consent has been obtained from La Paz Palacio management. Unauthorized pets will result in immediate termination of the stay without refund and additional cleaning fees.
- Guest Capacity: The maximum number of guests must not exceed the agreed capacity of the apartment (e.g., 5 persons for a two-bedroom apartment) at any time, including visitors. Any additional guests must be approved by management in advance. Unregistered guests staying overnight may incur additional charges or lead to termination of the stay.
- Property Care:
- Electrical Appliances: Ensure all electrical appliances (e.g., air conditioning, lights, TV) are properly switched off when leaving the apartment or when not in use to conserve energy and for safety. Our 24/7 solar-powered electricity system is designed for efficiency, and your cooperation helps maintain its optimal performance.
- Waste Disposal: All waste must be properly disposed of in designated waste bins using bin liners. Follow any specific recycling guidelines provided.
- Water Conservation: Ensure all water taps are properly turned off after use to conserve water resources.
- Property Condition: Guests are expected to take reasonable care of the apartment and its contents. Avoid staining walls, furniture, linens, and maintain cleanliness throughout your stay.
- Prohibited Items: Firearms, illegal drugs, hazardous materials, and any items that are illegal or may cause harm or nuisance are strictly prohibited on the premises.
5. Use of Property
- Residential Purpose Only: The apartment is provided for legitimate short-term residential accommodation only.
- Prohibited Activities: Any illegal activities, commercial use (e.g., operating a business), or activities that may disturb other residents or violate local laws are strictly prohibited. Violation will result in immediate termination of the stay without refund and potential legal action.
- Guest Liability for Damage: Guests will be held fully liable for any damage, loss, or excessive cleaning required to the apartment, its contents, or common areas caused by themselves or their visitors during the stay. Costs will be deducted from the security deposit, and if damages exceed the deposit amount, the Guest is responsible for the additional balance.
- Right of Entry: La Paz Palacio management reserves the right to enter the apartment at reasonable times for inspection, maintenance, repairs, or in case of an emergency (e.g., fire, water leak) or suspected violation of these Terms. Prior notice will be given where possible.
6. Security & Safety
- Guest Responsibility: Guests are solely responsible for securing the apartment, including locking all doors and windows, when leaving the premises or at night.
- Access Control: Do not share access codes, keys, or any entry methods with unauthorized persons. Report any lost keys or fobs immediately to management. A replacement fee will apply for lost items.
- Personal Belongings: La Paz Palacio management and property owners are not liable for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings, valuables, or money left in the apartment or on the premises during your stay. We advise guests to secure their valuables.
- Emergency Procedures: Familiarize yourself with the location of fire extinguishers and emergency exits. Emergency contact numbers will be provided within the apartment. In case of any emergency, contact local emergency services immediately, then inform management. Our 24/7 security personnel are on-site for assistance.
7. Cleaning & Maintenance
- Pre-Check-in Cleanliness: The apartment will be thoroughly cleaned and prepared before your check-in.
- Routine Cleaning During Stay: For stays longer than [e.g., 5] days, a complimentary routine cleaning service may be scheduled. Guests will be notified in advance. Additional cleaning services can be arranged upon request at an extra charge.
- Reporting Issues: Any maintenance issues, damages, or equipment malfunctions within the apartment must be reported to La Paz Palacio management immediately to allow for prompt resolution. Your cooperation helps us maintain our high standards.
- Departure Condition: Guests are expected to leave the apartment in a reasonably clean and tidy condition, with all waste properly disposed of, upon departure.
8. Utilities & Internet
- Inclusive Utilities: Wi-Fi, water, and electricity are included in your booking fee, ensuring a hassle-free stay. Our property benefits from reliable and speedy & stable Wi-Fi connectivity.
- Sustainable Power: Our commitment to comfort includes 24/7 solar-powered electricity, providing uninterrupted power supply throughout your stay.
- Responsible Use: While utilities are included, guests are kindly requested to use resources responsibly. Unreasonable or excessive use (e.g., leaving air conditioning on when out of the apartment, leaving taps running unnecessarily) may, in extreme cases, incur additional charges.
- Games & Entertainment: Enjoy the provided entertainment options, including a private bar and snooker for your leisure.
9. Liability
- Limitation of Liability: La Paz Palacio Homes & Apartments, its owners, and management are not responsible or liable for any personal injury, accident, illness, death, loss, or damage to property (including vehicles) occurring during your stay, unless caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct. This includes any loss or damage resulting from acts of God, natural disasters, or unforeseen events.
- Indemnification: The Guest agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless La Paz Palacio Homes & Apartments, its owners, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from or in connection with your use of the property, your breach of these Terms, or any actions of your visitors.
10. Termination of Stay
- Right to Terminate: La Paz Palacio management reserves the absolute right to immediately terminate the stay of any Guest, without refund, if these Terms and Conditions are violated. Grounds for immediate termination include, but are not limited to, unauthorized parties, excessive noise, illegal activities, smoking inside the apartment, unauthorized pets, exceeding guest capacity, or causing significant damage to the property.
- Consequences of Termination: In the event of termination, the Guest and any associated parties must vacate the apartment immediately. Management may involve law enforcement if necessary. The Guest remains liable for any outstanding charges, damages, or costs incurred as a result of the violation.
11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
- Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
- Jurisdiction: Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria.
12. Amendments to Terms
La Paz Palacio Homes & Apartments reserves the right to amend or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The most current version will always be posted on our website. Continued use of our services implies acceptance of any revised Terms.
